Packing & Unpacking

Full / Partial Pack and Move Service
For San Francisco and the Bay Area, CA

We offer both full and partial pack and move service to San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA and the surrounding areas. This means that we can either just pack your kitchen and other select breakables, or we can come and pack everything from scratch in a matter of hours. We have all supplies necessary available. Your furniture is wrapped in thick, padded moving blankets and secured tightly with tape and shrink wrap. Glass panes and other sensitive surfaces are reinforced with single to multiple layers of cardboard to ensure durability. 20" wardrobe boxes will be used to protect your clothes, and are also used to consolidate larger, loose items difficult to stack on top of. Larger, heavier items are disassembled for maximum safety relocating, and wrapped individually.
Unpacking service
This is not to be confused with standard unloading procedures. We will stage and install all your furniture as it was when we collected it, and retrieve our blankets. Any items disassembled will be reassembled. Unpacking refers to opening all your boxes and placing each individual item packed into its place in your new home. It is a great feeling when your entire home is completely relocated one day after leaving, and for some, there is no other option. To avoid a conflict in scheduling, this is something that needs to be discussed prior to your moving date.
Fragile Item Sheilding
As mentioned previously, delicate objects and fine surfaces require a bit more thoughtfulness when being wrapped. For these and other fragile antiques, a careful series of padding and hard surfaces are layered and secured with special attention to the pressure keeping it together. This is known as "shielding".
Pianos
There are many different large and heavy items unique to each move, but the one that many are particularly concerned about, is their piano. And yes, we move all size pianos to where every they need to be. Grand and baby grand pianos simply need to be shielded, then turned on its side to a piano dolly. Piano dollies can support massive weight without breaking, making going up or downstairs, several notes easier.
